Kate Beckinsale Tutorial  
This is my very first tutorial so I hope you guys like it.

to

For PS 7

01. I use this picture from Kate Beckinsale Online.  Prepare you icon how ever you like. I left it alone.


02. Make a new curve layer, opacity 51.
RGB
First point: Input: 41 Output: 88
Second point: Input: 162 Output: 232


03. Make a new Hue/Saturation layer
Saturation: 14


04. Make another Hue/Saturation layer.
Satruation: 20


05. Make a Color Balance Layer, opacity 25.
Midtones: 60, -2, 3
Shadows: 28, 4, -2
Highlights: 11, 11, 3


06. Make a new Selective Color layer.
Red: -100, 100, 100, -10
Yellow: -10, 100, -55, 10
White: 10, 0, 0, 5
Neutrals: 65, -10, -30, 0
Black: 0, 6, 0, 34


07. Make a Channel Mixer layer.
Red: 128, -40, 0
Green: 0, 100, 0
Blue: -55, 60, 100


08. If you need to go back to the base and duplicate it.  Screen the layer if you icon is too dark and play with the opcity.

Download the PSD file.

Please let me know if there are any problems and I will try and fix them the best I can.

I would love to see what you guys get!

i'm a real beginner with making icons and such..and i did this and it looked nothing like what you got. it was a horrible explosion of red and bright colors.
i may have did it wrong, but i don't think did.

Sorry about that, I forgot to change some of the opacity for 2 of the layers. That is why it looked so red. Thanks for letting me know.

FIRST Tutorial?
omg, i totally love it! u're serioulsy talentful (:
i wish you could post a PSD. file for the tutorial, because i cant get Photoshop @ the moment so im using ImageReady that has like NOTHING ;s.

I hope you will help because i really really love your tutorial & i could maybe show you a icon of mine with this fabouls tut, if you want to? :D

gorgeous! :)) this is wonderful! i'm still a beginner in making icons so i'm still trying out various tutorials. this has to be one of my favorites though, not just cause it's pretty but it actually turned out alright. :))
